Candidate Consent Policy
Last updated: 2 July, 2026
This Candidate Consent Policy explains how professionals and candidates provide consent on Korum, a platform operated by Worldhire Global Ltd.
This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Recruiter Terms, Recruiter Code of Conduct, Confidentiality & Consent Policy, Cookie Policy, and other applicable platform policies.
For the purpose of this policy, “Worldhire”, “we”, “us”, or “our” means Worldhire Global Ltd. “Korum” means the confidential career and hiring platform operated by Worldhire. “Professional”, “candidate”, “you”, or “your” means an individual who creates or uses a professional profile on Korum.
1. Purpose of This Policy
Korum is designed to give experienced professionals control over how they are discovered, viewed, contacted, and approached for career opportunities.
This policy explains:
- What you consent to when you create a Korum profile
- What happens in Discoverable Mode
- What happens in Confidential Mode
- What information may be visible to recruiters
- How recruiters connect with you
- How CV/resume and salary information may be used
- How consent-led access works
- How you can change, pause, withdraw, or manage consent
- What records Korum may retain for audit, security, compliance, and misuse prevention
2. Who Operates Korum
Korum is operated by:
- Worldhire Global Ltd
- Registered in England and Wales
- Company Number: 17306978
- Registered Office: 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom
- Email: privacy@worldhire.com
3. Consent Is Central to Korum
Korum is built around controlled visibility and consent-led hiring.
By using Korum, you may provide consent for:
- Creating a professional profile
- Making your profile visible in a selected mode
- Allowing verified or approved recruiters to view your profile
- Allowing recruiters to connect with you through Korum’s in-app connection workflow
- Sharing your CV/resume where uploaded or enabled
- Sharing salary or compensation ranges where provided
- Receiving relevant opportunity-related communications
- Participating in consent-led access workflows
- Receiving recruiter access requests
- Allowing Korum to log activity for audit, security, misuse prevention, and platform accountability
- Your consent may vary depending on the visibility mode you choose.
4. Korum Profile Modes
Korum supports two main professional visibility modes:
- Discoverable Mode
- Confidential Mode
- You are responsible for choosing the mode that matches your career situation, confidentiality needs, and willingness to be discovered.
5. Discoverable Mode Consent
Discoverable Mode is for professionals who want their profile to be discoverable by verified recruiters, employers, companies, and approved hiring partners on Korum.
By selecting Discoverable Mode, you consent to your professional profile being visible within Korum’s controlled hiring network.
This may include:
- Your name
- Professional summary
- Total years of experience
- Current role
- Previous roles
- Current employer
- Previous employers
- Industry
- Function
- Skills
- Specialisations
- Education
- Location
- Preferred location
- Work model preference
- Notice period
- Salary or compensation range where provided
- Expected compensation range where provided
- Career preferences
- Availability status
- CV/resume where uploaded or enabled
- Other professional profile details you provide
- Discoverable Mode does not mean your profile is publicly available on the open internet. It means your profile is visible within Korum to verified or approved recruiters, employers, companies, and hiring partners.
6. Contact Details in Discoverable Mode
In Discoverable Mode, your direct contact details are hidden by default.
Direct contact details may include:
- Phone number
- Personal email address
- Other direct contact information
- Verified or approved recruiters may message you through Korum’s in-app connection workflow at no credit cost (messaging does not by itself disclose your direct contact details).
- By selecting Discoverable Mode, you consent to this controlled reach-out / connection workflow, including the paid contact-reveal feature described below.
This means:
- Recruiters may view your professional profile inside Korum.
- A verified or approved recruiter may access your direct contact details (email address and phone number) only by using Korum’s paid contact-reveal feature, which involves a one-time credit charge; once used, that access remains available to that recruiter.
- Contact reveal is not available where you have enabled do-not-contact, and is never available for Confidential Mode profiles.
- reach-out / connection activity may be logged.
- Korum may use reach-out / connection logs for audit, misuse prevention, security, compliance, and dispute review.
- Discoverable Mode is therefore not the same as Confidential Mode. In Discoverable Mode, separate approval may not be required each time a verified or approved recruiter uses reach-out / connection, unless the platform specifically introduces such a control.
7. Confidential Mode Consent
Confidential Mode is for professionals who are not publicly applying, are selectively open to opportunities, or require stronger confidentiality before deeper disclosure.
By selecting Confidential Mode, you request a more confidential profile experience.
In this mode, your profile may be masked, limited, or partially visible.
The following information may remain hidden unless you approve access or complete a consent-led connection workflow:
- Full identity
- Direct contact details
- Current employer
- CV/resume
- Sensitive career details
- Salary or compensation details
- Other information treated as confidential by the platform
- Recruiters may need to request access before deeper information is shared.
- You may approve, reject, pause, or require consent-led access before deeper disclosure.
8. Difference Between Discoverable and Confidential Mode
| Area | Discoverable Mode | Confidential Mode |
|---|---|---|
| Professional profile visibility | Visible to verified or approved hiring users | Masked, limited, or partially visible |
| Name | May be visible | May be hidden |
| Current employer | May be visible | May be hidden |
| Work history | May be visible | May be limited or masked |
| CV/resume | May be visible if uploaded or enabled | May require approval or consent-led access |
| Salary or compensation range | May be visible if provided | May be hidden or shared after approval |
| Contact details | Hidden by default; may be disclosed to a verified or approved recruiter through the paid contact-reveal feature | Never disclosed by the platform; recruiters connect only through masked, approval or consent-led access workflows |
| Recruiter access | Recruiter can view your profile within Korum | Recruiter may need to request access first |
| Reach-out / connection | Recruiters may message through the in-app workflow at no credit cost; contact details stay hidden unless a paid contact reveal is used | Deeper connection usually requires approval or a consent-led access workflow |
| Best suited for | Professionals open to being discovered | Professionals needing stronger confidentiality |
9. CV/Resume Consent
If you upload or enable a CV/resume on Korum, you consent to Korum processing it for platform and hiring-related purposes.
Depending on your profile mode and settings:
- In Discoverable Mode, your CV/resume may be visible to verified or approved recruiters if uploaded or enabled.
- In Confidential Mode, your CV/resume may remain hidden until you approve access or complete a consent-led connection workflow.
- You are responsible for ensuring your CV/resume is accurate and does not include information you do not want shared under the selected profile mode.
- You should avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in your CV/resume.
10. Salary and Compensation Consent
Korum may allow you to provide salary range, expected compensation range, notice period, and related career information.
By providing this information, you consent to Korum using it to improve hiring relevance, recruiter matching, and opportunity filtering.
Depending on your profile mode and settings:
- In Discoverable Mode, salary or compensation range may be visible where provided or enabled.
- In Confidential Mode, salary or compensation information may remain hidden, limited, or shared only after approval.
- Korum encourages the use of compensation bands or ranges rather than exact salary details wherever possible.
11. reach-out / connection Consent
reach-out / connection is a controlled platform function that allows verified or approved recruiters to access specific information that is otherwise hidden by default.
In Discoverable Mode, a verified or approved recruiter may access direct contact details such as phone number or email address only through Korum’s paid contact-reveal feature, which involves a one-time credit charge. Contact reveal is not available where you have enabled do-not-contact.
In Confidential Mode, reach-out / connection may require your approval, additional access control, or consent-led access workflow before deeper information is shared.
Korum may log reach-out / connection events, including:
- Which recruiter or company connected
- Which profile was accessed
- Date and time of the reach-out / connection
- Type of information accessed
- Related role or hiring context where available
- Account and security metadata
- reach-out / connection logs may be retained for audit, security, misuse prevention, compliance, and dispute review.
12. Recruiter Access Requests
In some workflows, recruiters may need to request access before deeper information is shared.
An access request may include:
- Recruiter name
- Company name
- Role or opportunity details
- Hiring location
- Salary range or compensation range
- Work model
- Reason for access
- Consent-led access requirement, if applicable
- You may approve, reject, pause, or request additional information before deciding.
- Korum may record access request decisions for audit, platform accountability, and misuse prevention.
13. Consent-Led Access
Consent-led access may be used when additional confidentiality is required.
This may apply where:
- You are in Confidential Mode
- The role is confidential
- You request stronger protection
- The recruiter, employer, or company requires confidentiality
- Korum determines that additional confidentiality may be appropriate
Consent-led access may be between:
- You and the recruiter
- You and the employer or company
- You and another relevant hiring party
- Another structure shown in the specific consent-led access workflow
- Unless Worldhire Global Ltd is expressly named as a party to a specific consent-led access agreement, Worldhire acts as a platform facilitator and is not responsible for enforcing the consent-led access agreement between users.
- If another user breaches a consent-led access agreement or confidentiality obligation, that user is responsible for its own breach.
- Worldhire may take platform action where misuse is reported or suspected, but Worldhire is not required to mediate, arbitrate, settle, or enforce disputes between users.
14. Consent for Platform Notifications
By creating a Korum profile, you consent to receiving platform-related communications, including:
- Account notifications
- Profile status updates

- reach-out / connection notifications, where applicable
- Access request notifications
- Consent-led access workflow notifications
- Security alerts
- Policy updates
- Support communications
- These communications are necessary for platform operation and may continue even if you opt out of marketing communications.
15. Marketing Consent
Korum may send relevant product updates, opportunity-related communications, newsletters, event updates, or business communications where permitted.
You may opt out of marketing communications by using the unsubscribe option or by contacting us.
