Why we built Korum, and what comes next

For most of a decade we ran executive search across the UK, the US and India. The pattern never changed: the people most worth hiring were the least visible. Senior operators, quiet specialists, leaders mid-mandate - they will not post a CV to a job board, and they will not risk a public signal that they are open to a move.

So the market works with a shadow of the real talent pool. Recruiters chase the people who are easy to find, not the people who are the best fit. Great professionals get reached by the wrong roles at the wrong time, through channels that expose them before they have decided anything.

The gap we kept hitting

Confidentiality and discoverability were treated as opposites. You were either visible and exposed, or private and invisible. There was no way to be discoverable to the right opportunity without being exposed to everyone.

Korum exists to close that gap. It is a confidential, consent-led platform where senior professionals stay in control of their identity, and verified recruiters reach them only with permission.

What controlled talent discovery means

  • You choose how you appear. Discoverable with your real profile, or Confidential with your identity masked behind an alias.
  • Nothing is shared without consent. A recruiter can express interest, but no personal detail moves until you approve.
  • Your current employer never sees you. Confidential mode hides you from the companies you name, automatically.

Where we are headed

Korum is the first surface of a larger ecosystem. Sphere is the technology layer recruiters use to run structured hiring, and Select is our advisory-led search practice for the hardest confidential mandates. Together they make senior hiring more trusted, more private, and more effective.

This is the beginning. We are building for a world where the best people can explore quietly, and the best companies can find them honestly.
