How visibility control works for professionals

The single most important choice on Korum is your visibility mode. It decides what recruiters can see, and when. Here is how each mode works in plain language.

Discoverable

Your real profile - name, role, experience - is visible to verified recruiters searching for a fit like yours. Your contact details are still not shown by default; a recruiter unlocks them only after a deliberate step. Choose this when you are comfortable being seen openly.

Confidential

Your identity is masked. Recruiters see an alias, your seniority band, broad industry and skills - never your name, employer, or exact location. Your current employer is hidden automatically, and any company you add to your hidden list can never find you.

What a recruiter sees in Confidential mode

  • An alias such as Confidential Lyra 42, not your name
  • Your country, not your city
  • A rounded years-of-experience band, not an exact figure
  • Your top skills, so the fit is still real

Switching is instant

You can move between modes whenever you like from your dashboard. Going Confidential immediately re-masks you everywhere. Going Discoverable reveals your real profile again to verified recruiters.

When details are shared

Nothing personal is shared without an action you take. A reveal, an approval, an unlocked conversation - each is a decision you make, never a default.
